I thought I would update this with a few positives, and talk about something that I have been waiting over three years for, after Warner Bros shelves it and passed it off as not marketable, which was a pile of bullshit concidering its one of the best halloween movies ever made, if you liked Creepshow and the comical way it was told then you will love this one. It has a four short stories within a big story, and they are cleverly tied together as they jump you back and forth to different events. It has a great spooky halloween vibe to it that has not been seen in a horror movie for years, not even in the movies they call "Halloween" minus the first two.

The star of the show is ofcourse the little pumpkin head kid in his PJ's known as Sam, you see him through out the stories making little cameos until its his time to tie all of them together, you can buy Sam dolls I beleive through sideshow collectables, its very cool that it is sometimes shot like the original John Carpenters Halloween and even naming one of the girls Laurie, you could tell the director Michael Dougherty knew what he was doing making this, and his influences and homages shine through to those in the loop, Make sure you check this one out, it should be hitting DVD and Blu Ray October 6th 2009.

On a more sort of worrying note, the new trailer for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake has just been released, and although I am not entirely sure about this one yet, there are a few nit picky things I am not sure on, the first obviously being his makeup, since I knew they were adopting a more realise burn approach to this I knew it was going to look completely different, but aslong as they keep his face more in the dark like the original did then it should work, after all its not always what you see, its what you dont see.

The second being his voice, although Jackey Earl Haley who is playing Freddy in this, taking over from the veteran Robert Englund we have all known as the burned maniac since the very beginning, at the end of the trailer (posted below) you get a clear sentence of what hes going to sound like, and to me it just isn't menacing at all. But I shall remain sceptical about it concidering I did with the new Halloween movie (which was garbage) and let the last of the slashers get its remake out of the way.
